Jessica is a Tłı̨chǫ citizen born and raised in Yellowknife, NT.  Over the past decade, Jessica has worked as for co-management boards, and for environmental monitoring agencies, doing research and communications. Most recently at the Department of Health and Social Services, she was a project coordinator as part the Indigenous Heath team, and at the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority helping with the administration of the newly formed Leadership Council.  She hold a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Mount Allison University.

Jessica is the mother of two children, Eamonn and Aine, who are of Tłı̨chǫ and Irish descent.
