Grace Martin is a PhD candidate in Public Policy at Carleton University and a Research Assistant for the Modern Treaties Implementation Research Project. Grace grew up in Northern Ontario and is currently based in Ottawa. Her research focuses on innovative Indigenous governance, land claim practices, and wildlife co-management arrangements in Canada’s North. Grace hopes to facilitate Indigenous-settler knowledge co-evolution using deliberative, ethical, community-focused processes based on mutual respect. She has over ten years of experience in public policy, natural resource management, and aquatic science.
