Jessica Simpson is the Project Coordinator on the Modern Treaties Implementation Research Project.  She is also a Research Advisor on Hotıì ts'eeda’s Caribou Demonstration Project, working with Dr. John B. Zoe and Dr. Thomas D. Andrew reviving archeological surveys from the 1990’s in the Mǫwhí Gogha Dè Nı̨ı̨tłèè.

Jessica is a Tłı̨chǫ citizen born and raised in Yellowknife, NT.  Over the past decade, Jessica has worked as for co-management boards, and for environmental monitoring agencies, doing research and communications. Most recently at the Department of Health and Social Services, she was a project coordinator as part the Indigenous Heath team, and at the Authority helping with the administration of the newly formed NTHSSA Leadership Council.  She hold a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Mount Allison University.

Jessica is the mother of two children, Eamonn and Aine, who are of Tłı̨chǫ and Irish descent.
