Brittany Rousseau is a third-year law student at Thompson Rivers University with a degree in Business Administration. Brittany will be articling with Ramsay Lampman & Rhodes in Nanaimo, BC beginning in 2019.

Brittany was raised in Port Alberni, BC in Nuu-Chah-Nulth territory and has developed a passion for Aboriginal law. In 2018, Brittany worked with Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc on their Cultural Heritage Study and had the valuable opportunity to connect with the Secwepemc Nation. Research work with Dr. Janna Promislow on Indigenous laws and implementation of modern treaties has allowed Brittany to continue studying Aboriginal law beyond TRU’s course offerings.
